How to evaluate a crypto project – a ten-point checklist

A practical checklist for judging blockchain and digital asset projects before you commit time or money.

Why a checklist

Most losses in digital assets do not come from technology failing but from people committing money before they understand what they are buying. A fixed list of questions protects you from persuasive presentations – including ours. Use it on every project, including SHOP and Novaro.

1–5: The project

1. Can you explain in two sentences what the project does and who pays for it? If not, keep asking. 2. Who is behind it? Look for a registered company, named people and a physical address. 3. Is the documentation public and consistent with what is said in presentations? 4. Where does the promised return actually come from – real revenue, new money from later participants, or token inflation? 5. What happens to your position if no new participants join?

6–10: You and your money

6. Do you keep control of your assets (your own keys) or do you hand them over? 7. Can you exit? Check lock-ups, withdrawal limits and the real liquidity of the token. 8. Is there time pressure, a "last chance" or a countdown? Serious offers survive a night's sleep. 9. Are risks stated as clearly as opportunities? 10. Would you be fine if the entire amount went to zero? If the answer is no, reduce the amount until it is yes.

Red flags

Guaranteed returns. Anonymous teams. Requests for seed phrases or private keys. Payments to private wallets. Pressure to recruit others as the main way to earn. Unclear or missing legal entity. Websites without imprint or privacy policy. Any of these alone is a reason to walk away.

Applying it to Novaro

Novaro publishes its operator (Novaro Technology LLC), names its webinar hosts, lets you attend for free before paying anything and states that results from the SHOP protocol are not guaranteed. The membership fee is a fixed monthly price for education, tools and community. Whether the SHOP model convinces you is a decision you should make with the checklist above – not because of anything on this website.
